VIRGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY SURRY POWER STATION UNITS 1 AND 2 UPDATED FINAL SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT - REVISION 4 We have recently d.itermined that the June 30, 1986 transmittal letter which forwarded Revision
- to the Surry Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) was apparently lost during reproduction.
As a consequence, distribution was only made to Virginia Electric and Power Company controlled copies.
This discovery occurred as a result of a recent informal examination of the NRC Surry Project Manager's copy of the UFSAR.
We are taking the following actions:
1.
Pursuant to 10CFR50.71(e), we are formally submitting the June 30, 1986 Revision 4 to the Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (UFSAR) for the Surry Power Station Unit Nos. I and 2.
One signed original and twelve additional copies of the revision to the UFSAR are enclosed.
This revision contains those changes necessary to bring the UFSAR up-to-date as of January 1, 1986.
2.
To preclude recurrence, we will make future submittals of the Surry UFSAR to NRC as documents requiring receipt acknowledgement.
Consistent with that action, we request you sign and rettirn the attached acknowledgement form.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this oversight.
As a duly authorized officer of Virginia Electric and Power Company, I hereby certify as required by 10CFR50.71(e)(2) that the information given in the enclosed Revision 4 of the UFSAR accurately presents changes made since the B701120237
