GN-1273 Attention: Mr. J. Nelson Grace This letter is to notify you that the Georgia Power Company has com-pleted its Final Design Verification Program for Safety-Related Piping Systems for Unit 1 of the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant.
This program was designed to address the requirements of USNRC IE Bulletin 79-14 and pro-vided for the verification that piping and pipe support systems have been reconciled to as-built conditions by the responsible engineering organiza-tion.
In addition, the program provided for the identification, evaluation, and disposition of limited clearance conditions on safety-related piping systema.
The requirements of IE Bulletin 79-14 have, therefore, been satis-factorily addressed.
This letter is also to notify you that the design of Unit 1 pipe support base plates using concrete expansion anchors is in conformance with USNRC IE Bulletin 79-02.
This response contains no proprietary information and may be placed in the NRC Public Document Room.
