Attached in the requested information on the (1) environmental surveys, (2) plant safety monitoring system (PSMS) and the automatic turbine supervisory instrumentation (ATSI) computer surveys, and (3) the communication survey.
If your staff requires any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

STATUS OF CREE PRELIMINARY SURVEYS I.
Environmental Surveys to be completed prior to exceeding 5% power:
a.
Humidity and Temperature Survey; b.
Air Velocity Survey.
II.
Computer Surveys previously completed:
a.
PSMS computer Survey (no HEDs identified);
b.
ATSI computer Survey (no HEDs identified).
III.
Preliminary Communication Survey (Two HEDs identified):
a.
HED #1325 - Fixed Base UHF Transceiver - Unit gain is adjustable, but the gain control is not limited so that when set to the lowest setting an audible signal is still present.
b.
HED #1326 - Fixed Base UHF Transceiver - Procedures are not established or posted for the use of the system.
The Fixed Base UHF Transceiver is planned to be replaced in April 1987.
