The enclosed information is submitted with this letter for the purpose of requesting changes to the Technical Specifications for the University of Illinois LOPRA Reactor, License No. R-117. Docket No. 504356. These changes are requested due to a chance of status of Nuclear Engineering from Program to Department and chances in staffino of the Nuclear Reactor Laboratory. l t

These chances are to Section Six, Administrative Controls, and are [

i' briefly described as follows:

Section 6.1.c. is changed to reflect that the Department of Nuclear Engineering provides support for the Reactor Health i Physicist.  !

l Chart I is changed to reflect that Nuclear Engineering has been up-graded to Department status and has added to the Staff a -

Director of the Reactor Laboratory. }

Section 6.2.c. is changed to define the membership of the Reactor  !

Committee.

Section 6.2.e. is changed to reflect the change in 6.2.c.

Section 6.2.f is changed to allow for difficulties sometimes encountered during the summer months in scheduling meetings due to Reactor Committee members being gone from the University 1 because of research activities.

Section 6.7. is changed to reflect USNRC administrative changes which l impact on our reporting requirements. I l
