Pursuant to the telephone conversation on January 5,1987, between Mr. Jeffrey B.
Jacobson of this office and you, this is to confirm the inspection of your facility in Warren, Ohio on January 12-14, 1987. This inspection is being conducted to gain information necessary to notify nuclear power plants of a potential problem with insulation degradation on motors supplied by Peerless-Winsmith to Limitorque Co.
In addition to a review of the overall implementation of your QA program, the inspection will include the following items pertaining to your supply of motors to the nuclear industry:
1.
10 CFR Part 21 reporting program.
2.
Design / manufacturing changes made to motors supplied to Limitorque Co.
3.
Conformance to purchase order specifications.
