Reference:
TVA letter to NRC dated January 19, 1988, "TVA Division of Nuclear Engineering (DNE) Calculation Effort" In the referenced letter, TVA committed to complete the calculation associated with NRC observation EEB-9 by August 1, 1988. TVA agreed to revise the calculation, "Containment Electrical Penetration Protection,"
to address current ambient temperature and changes in resistance in the conductor because of temperature changes, including assessment of heat dissipation; geometry of the penetration; wind effects; and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning.
Because of emergent work and the emphasis on unit 1 restart commitments, this postrestart commitment will be completed by November 1,1988.
