Subject:

ACCIDENTAL DEATH OF WORKER A crane operator employed at the Hope Creek Construction site was killed at approximately 7:00 a.m. while assisting in the unloading of gravel from barges. The worker apparently fell from the pier into the water. There were no witnesses to the accident. The body was recovered from the water about two hours later.

As a consequence of the accident, the crane operators elected not to work the remainder of the day, effectively shutting down operations at the facility.
