Dear Dr. Murley:
The following data has been generated from environmental samples collected at the R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant which indicates some activity attributed to the Chernobyl accident.
The activity first entered the area during the week of 5/2-5/9/86, but no real change for the weekly sampling period was noticeable.
It was possible to calculate a higher value for the last two days of the sample period when the cloud would have first entered the area by calculating an expected count rate due to normal levels and subtracting it from the real count rate, but that is not reported here.
