JOSEPH M. FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT UNIT 2 NARRATIVE

SUMMARY

OF OPERATIONS September, 1986 During the month of September, there was one significant power reduction which occurred on September 18, 1986. Power was reduced to isolate the AA condenser waterbox as part of a circulating water ingress study. However, the waterbox could not be isolated completely due to a problem with the intermediate gear in the actuator assembly of a waterbox isolation valve. Replacement parts have been ordered for the valve.

The following major safety-related maintenance was performed in the month of September:

1.

Miscellaneous corrective and preventive maintenance was performed on diesel generators.
