REQUEST FOR CAYATANO SANTOS TO PARTICIPATE i
IN THE GRAYSTAR APPLICATION REVIEW The Division of Industrial and Medical Nuclear Safety /NMSS (IMNS) has received an application from GrayStar Corporation to approve a unique design concept for a large capacity dry irradiator. Because of the complexity of the technicalissues, IMNS will assemble a multidisciplinary team of specialists with different expertise to conduct the review and approval of the application.
We request the assignment of Mr. Cayatano Santos of your staff to the review team. We have discussed this request with Mr. Edwin Hackett, Assistant Branch Chief / Materials Engineering Branch of your Division, and he suggested that Mr. Santos would bring the experience in i
materials / mechanics to the team that is needed for a comprehensive evaluation of the application. We anticipate that the following commitments will be needed from Mr. Santos' time:
