roundtable discuselons on the future of high-level and low-level radioactive waste disposal. I am also responding on behalf of William Reamer and John Hickey of my staff, both of whom are l
identified as potential participants in the roundtable series. I share your concerns about the many technical, legal and policy issues that need to be addressed to ensure the safe disposal of l
radioactive waste.
J Since the meetings are not open to the public and are principally for industry officials, I do not think it would be appropriate for us to participate. However, I would be pleased to meet with you here at our NRC offices, either before or after your meetings, to discuss our radioactive waste disposal programs. The meeting would be open to the public and announced in advanced.
