Attached is the 1998 Annual Occupational Exposure Summary Report I

required by Technical Specification 5.6.1 of Appendix A to the Perry Unit 1 Operating License. The following work Categories were grouped as indicated below:

Station Perry Nuclear Power Plant Department, Perry l Nuclear Maintenance Department and Site Protection i Section and Radiation Protection Section of the Perry f Nuclear Services Department personnel. I Utility Perry Nuclear Engineering Department, other sections of the Perry Nuclear Services Department, i and FirstEnergy support personnel.

Other Contractor, Consultant and other support personnel.

Special Maintenance performed during 1998 included the removal and replacement of Reactor Water Clean-Up pump B, Moisture Separator Re-heater drain line steam leak repair, Hydrogen Water Chemistry installation ,

and emergency preparedness response activities.

Man-mrem is based on Direct Reading Dosimeter Readings.

Number of Persons is based on number of unique individuals signing in on any RWP in corresponding categories regardless of exposure received.
