's REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION CONCERNING 07/14/86 AMENDMENT REQUEST Provide the analysis of the Peach Bottom fuel storage pool temperature profile to demonstrate that the pool either meets the guidance provided in Standard Review Plan 9.1.3 or provides an equivalent level of safety. Your analysis should be provided in sufficient detail so that the staff can independently.

verify the adeqtacy of the calculations and conclusions. Specificially, provide the following information:

1.

Provide the following information for each spent fuel pool cooling system heat exchanger:

a.

Tube surface area (square feet) b.

Overall conductance (BTU /sq-ft-Hr-F) c.

Design flow rates for:

(1) Spent fuel pool water (Lbs/ hour)

(ii) Service water (Lbs/ hour) 2.

Provide a discussion of any recently collected data which could be used to determine if significant internal scaling or discrepancies in heat exchanger capability (compared with design values) are evident.

3.

Specify the minimum time required between power generation (last control rod fully inserted) and placing the separator into the dryer and separator storage pool (core exposed).
