BEFORE ME, the undersigned Notary Public, on this day personally appeared Kendall McCook who, being by me duly
- sworn, on his oath deposed and said as follows:
"My name is Kendall McCook.
I am over the age of eighteen years and I am competent to make this affidavit.
"I am a member of CFUR.
I reside at Rt.
1, Box 70, Tolar, Texas 76476.
The foregoing petition was prepared under my supervision and direction and, to the best of my knowledge and
- belief, it and the facts contained therein are true and correct.
My family and I have lived for four years on eight acres within three miles of the planc in Hood County.
My wife and I teach in schools in the area.
We own our home and land, make our living and raise vegetables, a milk cow and other farm animals within three miles of the plant.
We also depend on well water on our property for ourselves and our animals.
We use our own property and the surrounding areas near Glen Rose for horseback
- riding, hiking, swimming and fishing.
"I am concerned that the normal operations of Comanche Peak will cause harm to my health and that of my family because of the long history of construction problems at the plant.

believe that the possibility of an accident is greater because of the ongoing safety problems at this plant.
I believe that in the event of an accident, the lives of myself, my wife, and our children would be in great danger and could result in our deaths."
