Dear Mr. Taylor:
I Your letter dated December 12, 1986 forwarded an Order which imposed on Philadelphia Electric Company civil penalties in
..L-the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000).
The civil penalties stem from an event that occurred at Peach Bottom Unit 3 on March 17-18, 1986 involving the withdrawal of a control rod during reactor startup in a sequence different from that specified in the control rod program.
Please find enclosed a check payable to the Treasurer of the United States in the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Dollars
