TMI-I STATUS REPORT FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 20 - 27, 1986 Enclosed is the TMI-1 weekly status report from the NRC Resident Office at TMI-1 for the subject period.
The NRC staff continued to monitor routine plant operations at full power.
TMI-1 status reports are intended to provide NRC management and the public with highlights from an NRC regulatory perspective of TMI-1 activities for the previous week. Subsequent inspection reports will address many of these topics in more detail.

ENCLOSURE TMI-1 STATUS rep 0RT FOR THE PERIOD JUNE 20 - 27, 1986 1.
Plant Status As of 8:00 a.m. on June 27, 1986, TMI-1 was operating at 100 percent power and at normal reactor coolant temperature (579 F) and pressure (2155 psig).

Facility Operations Summary The plant operated at 100 percent power during the reporting period, ex-cept for a power reduction to 95 percent because of a minor operational problem associated with the plant's heater drain pumps.
This power re-duction occurred late on Saturday, June 21, 1986. The plant was returned to 100 percent power af ter completion of repairs to the heater drain pump early on Sunday, June 22, 1986.

Items of Special Interest Quarterly Emergency A paredness Drill n
On Wednesday, June 25, 1986, the licensee conducted their quarterly emer-gency preparedness drill.
The drill was conducted from 8:30 a.m. to ap-proximately 12:30 p.m. and exercised all phases of the licensee's emer-gency plan.

NRC Staff Status Du_ ring _the Period During this report period, the NRC staff on site consisted of three resi-dont inspectors. During the week, the senior resident inspector was in the Region I Office (King of Prussia, Pennsylvania) to act for the Chief, Reactor Projects Section No. lA.
