TASK ORDER NO. 3 MODIFICATION NO. 4 ENTITLED " DEVELOPMENTAL I ASSESSMENT NUMERICAL TECHNIQUES" UNDER CONTRACT NO. NRC-04-97-046 In accordance with Section G.4, Task Order Procedures, of the subject contract, this letter definitizes Task Order No. 3 Modification No. 4. This effort shall be performed in accordance with the enclosed Statement of Work.

The period of performance for Task Order No. 3 remains to September 30,1997 through  ;

November 15,1999. The total estimated cost for full performance of this task order is increased )

by $32,802 from $166,556 to $199,358. Funds in the amount of $30,000 are hereby allotted increasing the total obligated funds from $166,556 to $196,556 for performance of this task j order. The Contractor shall not incur costs for this task order which exceed the cumulative I obligated amount of $196,556.

Modified' Work Reauirements Task 8: Incorporation of ACAP into AV script NRC will provide the contractor with the AV script and supporting documentation. A process'

~s hall be developed so that the AV script will run ACAP and generate numerical ratings of the,

' simulation fidelity of the cases without the need for user intervention.

Therefore, this task shall modify the existing auto-DA script to execute ACAP cases for any comparison specified in the spread sheet. Each ACAP case will process an input file that is -

- associated with a data comparison so that appropriate calculations are made. Output data will be generated from ACAP in a form su!!able for inclusion into an assessment report using a word processor program such as Wordperfect or FrameMaker. Documentation of the AV script shall be revised once the ACAP links are incorporated to include changes to the user instructions.

- In anticipation that the assessment matrix could be expanded in the future to include a large number (perhaps in thousands) of cases, development of a prototype database shall be

. evaluated to facilitate manipulation of subsets c! cases, and to incorporate descriptive information of historical or technical nature.

Meetinos and Travel ,

For successful completion of the work required in this contract, it is anticipated that the contractor shall travel to the NRC office in Rockville, MD on three occasions for a two-day period. The contractor may propose additional travel deemed necessary for the successful completion of this effort. All travel shall be approved in advance by the Project Manager, be specifically performed in support of this contract ans be in compliance with Federal Transportation Regulations.
