The Office of the EDO has signed off on the revised proposed Part 70 rulemaking Commission paper, and you should now carry out the attached instruction from SECY. Please notify Tom Combs in OCA and Sue.
Gagner in OPA (and me) when the FRN is posted or shortly before. OPA may issue a press release noting the availability of the FRN.
The entire FRN but not the SECY paper should be posted on the web. Also, a copy (FRN only) should be concurrently put in the PDR. As NRC has been criticized for providing copies of documents to certain groups before they reach the PDR, the PDR copy should be delivered and processed ASAP. Please
- coordinate with Sandy Joosten and Nita Beeson - I understand they have a new procedure to announce the availability of documetns going public, with a named contact person for providing a copy.
- TED: Also, Andy Bates in SECY will need electronic versions of as many of the attachments as possible
- please provide those to him directly.
