J.R. Wojnarowski letter to H. R. Denton dated September 18, 1986.

Dear Mr. Denton:

Reference (a) transmitted proposed Technical Specification changes to support Quad Cities Unit 2 Cycle 9 operation.

In a subsequent telecon between T. S. Rotella of your staff and Quad Cities Station, two concerns regarding the proposed changes were discussed. As a result, the station has agreed to the following actions.

The restrictions required for Single Loop Operation (Reference (a),

page 3.6/4.6-Sa, line 2) will be accomplished within 12 hours1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br />.

This time period will be controlled administrative 1y with station procedures.

In addition, the 12 hour1.388889e-4 days <br />0.00333 hours <br />1.984127e-5 weeks <br />4.566e-6 months <br /> restriction will be submitted in a future Technical Specification change request.

Single Loop Operation is permitted only when the Reciruclation System is in the manual mode of operation. The station will maintain existing procedures to ensure this restriction continues.
