50-244 UNIT R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant DATE May S. 1986 COMPLETED BY h 2 Wauma Andrew E. McNamara TELEPHONE 1 (315) 524-4446 EXT. 301 at Ginna MONTH April, 1986 On 4/1/86 the unit experienced a reactor power level reduction from 100% to 90%.

This reduction was necessary following an.

inadvertent dilution resulting from placing a Cation Demineralizer in-service.

The reactor power level was restored to 100% within two hours.

On 4/17/86 the reactor power level was reduced to - 98% to perform Periodic Test PT-16, Auxiliary Feedwater System.

Other than the above power level reductions, the unit operated at 100% for the entire report period.
