OBJECTIVES

1. To install Model B-100 Trash Compactor consistent with CPC installation / Operating Instructions VM-1171.
2. To ensure that equipment operates as designed.

PREREQUISITES

1. Required component testing and safety checks are complete.

TEST METHOD

1. Components will be connected and powered to test responses of ram, ejector, door limit switches, and control pannel.
2. Pressures on ram and ejector will be checked.

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

1. Compactor operates as described in CPC Installation / Operating Instructions VM-1171.
2. Ram pressure is between 2000 lbs. and 2100 lbs.

Ejector pressure is between 700 lbs. and 800 lbs.

l NUPAC SERVICES DEMINERALIZER SYSTEM -

() OBJECTIVES

1. To install components of demineralizer system consistent with NUPAC installation procedure IP-3016-1,
2. To check calibration of associated instruments.
3. To secure domineralizer system for future operation.

1 PREREQUISITES

1. Each component vessel has been hydrostatically tested.

2.

Each instrument has been calibrated.

3. Demineralizer vessels are filled with appropriate bead resin.

TEST METHOD

1. Equipment will be assembled in accordance with NUPAC .

procedure #IP-3016-1.

2. Instrumentation will be recalibrated.

1. Pressure instruments calibrated to + or - 5 psig.
2. Temperature instruments calibrated to + or - 5 degrees Fahrenheit.
3. Demineralizers and all interconnecting hoses and fittings exhibit no leakage when pressurized to 200 psig for 30 minutes.

NUPAC DEWATERING SYSTEM -

OBJECTIVE

1. To install NUPAC resin dewatering system consistent with Topical Report No. TP-02-P-A, Revision 1, 6/85.
2. To test operability of. all components and check instrument calibrations for temperature and pressure devices.
3. To secure system for future operation.

PREREQUISITES

Required component testing and instrument calibrations are complete.

TEST METHOD

1. Components will be connected and powered to test responses for pump,' blower, cooler and control panel.
2. Instrument calibrations will be checked. '

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA Dewatering system operates as described in the NRC approved Topical Report No. TP-02-P-A, revision 1, 6/85.
