Transnuclear, Inc. has requested an amendment (01) to its export license
. XUO8630, to increase the quantity of material authorized for export by 235,588 kilograms of natural uranium, from 381,119 to 616,707 kilograms.
License' number XUO8630 was issued Nobember 5, 1986, following Executive Branch comments dated October 31, 1986.
Before taking action on this request for amendment, we would appreciate
.your views as to whether the proposal meets the applicable criteria in the Atomic Energy Act, as amended.
Please note that the country of origin for the increased quantity is Canada and it is destined for enrichment abroad.
