MEETING WITH NUCLEAR PACKAGING, INC. (NUPAC)
On December 3,1986, the QA Director of NuPac (J. R. 011vadoti) met in Bethesda with members of the Division of Quality Assurance, Vendor, and Technical Training Center Programs (R. L. Cilimberg and C. M. Abbate, Vendor Program Branch and J. G. Spraul, Quality Assurance Branch). The staff's request for,
additional infonnation regarding Nu?ac's QA program description for meeting the requirements of Subpart G of 10 CFR 72 (see Rouse to Olivadoti letter of December 3,1986) and NuPac's proposed response to it were discussed. As a result of the meeting, it appears that NuPac understands the request and will reply acceptably to it. Our review will be based on NuPac's formal response.
1 In response to NuPac's question, I stated that 8 weeks appeared to be a relatively conservative estimate of w'1en the staff would complete its review of the revised NuPac QA program description reflecting NuPac's response to the staff's request.
