QUAL 1-2-2 (353/87-13)

Dear Mr. Russell:

On December 3, 1987, Philadelphia Electric Company (PECo) submitted an initial response to the subject inspection report and on December 31, 1987, submitted an initial evaluation of a significant deficiency on the same subject.

In the referenced letter, PECo updated the evaluation of the significant deficiency report to indicate that no adverse safety inpilcations were identified. This letter provides a similar update in response to the subject inspection report.

The wiring inspection and analysis of overall safety inspection have been ccmpleted. The wiring discrepancies were not found to cause an adverse safety Impilcation for Limerick Unit 2.

As discussed in the significant deficiency update, scme additional minor errors involving labels were identified. The preliminary review of these errors indicates no safety significance.

The design of these labels is expected to be corrected by August 1,1988 and the fonnal review of safety significance is scheduled to be ccmpleted by August 15, 1988.

A final inspection report response is expected to be sutmitted by September 15, 1988.
