REQUIREMENTS FOR DOCUMENTATION OF CONTRACT DELIVERABLES Thank you for your memorandum of June 23, 1986, in which you sent me the text prepared by RM, " Development, Submittal, Distribution and Documentation Requirements for Machine-Readable Contract Deliverables."
If these requirements had been known to us at the time that we contracted with DOE /PNL to develop the computer code VARSKIN, we would have requested that PNL use them.
In the future, we will require that our contractors adhere to your guidelines in order to facilitate the implementation and use of deliverables on NRC equipment.
I am distributing your guidelines to all tne Divisions and other appropriate personnel in the Office of Research.
I suggest that you advise other NRC staff, by form-memorandum or otherwise, so that your requirements will become well known throughout the agency.
