Dear Dr. Beman:

According to the Technical Highlights / Administrative Report for April-May 1985, the difficulty of measuring water phase pressure continues. I am concerned about this problem. I make the following two-part official request.

1. When this problem is resolved to your satisfaction, schedule a review meeting at SNL to present the technical results which demonstrate that the - <

problem is solved. An appropriate audience will attend the review meeting.

2. Do not perform any fuel coolant interaction tests or experiments until the water phase pressure measurement problems are solved, the review meeting has been held, and restart of testing has been approved by the NRC.
