INTEGRATED MATERIALS PERFORMANCE EVALUATION PROGRAM (IMPEP) REVIEW OF REGION lil This memorandum transmits to the Management Review Board (MRB) a proposed final report (Attachment 1) documenting the IMPEP review of Region 111 (Rlll). The review of the Rlll program was conducted by an interoffice team during the week of March 15-19,1999. The team issued a draft report to Rlli on April 16,1999, for factual comment. Rlli responded in a memorandum dated April 29,1999, providing specific comments on the draft report and listing the actions taken by Rlli in response to IMPEP findings reported during the exit meeting (Attachment to the proposed final report).
Based on the findings, the review team recommends to the MRB that all performance indicators be found satisfactory. Additionally, the team recommends that Rlil's nuclear materials program,

The MRB meeting will be held with team members from Region I and State of Georgia, and some Rlli personnel, via videoconference. Rlli senior managers are scheduled to attend the MRB meeting in person. In accordance with Management Directive 5.6, the meeting is open to the public. The agenda for the MRB meeting is attached (Attachment 2).
Consistent with past practice on IMPEP reviews, a copy of this memorandum and all attachments is being placed in NRC's public document room.
