SUBJECT:

SUMMARY

OF MEETING WITH ENTERGY OPERATIONS, INC. ON INTEGRATED SECURITY PLAN On May 4,1999, members of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) met with representatives of Entergy Operations, Inc. (EOI), at Rockville, Maryland, to discuss the Integrated Nuclear Security Plan being proposed by EOl for all EOl sites. EOl provided a broad overview of its approach for developing one plan for all sites that will meet the requirements of applicable regulations. The NRC staff and EOl agreed that the application will be submitted under the requirements of 10 CFR 50.90.

The NRC staff expressed the opinion that EOl should minimize changes to each site's existing security plan while the staff is reviewing the integrated plan. This may help the staff in utilizing its resources in a more efficient manner. EOl requested that the staff complete its review within 6 months. However, the staff mentioned that EOl that the review schedule will be established after EOI submits its plan and the Project Manager discusses the proposed schedule with the appropriate Branch Chief. EOl is expecting to submit the new security plan in June 1999.

A list of Attendees is provided as Enclosure 1. A copy of presentation material is provided as Enclosure 2.
