The purpose of the subject modification is to:
(1) allow for the purchase of equipment to provide for a fully functional duplicate of i
the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS).
J (2) allow for labor and travel necessary for work related to Year 2000 compliancy; 1
(3) increase the obligated amount of the contract by $27,482.00 from $1,468,122.00

to $1,495,604.00; i
(4) increase the ceiling amount of the contract by $35,935.50 from $1,513,849.80 to
$1,549,785.30; and (5) revise the indirect rates as established by the cognizant audit office.
Accordingly, the following changes are hereby made:
1.
Under Section C, Paragraph C.5 - Delineation of Tasks /Scoce of Work. is hereby revised to include work to allow for a fully functional duplicate of the Emergency Response Data System (ERDS) and to allow for work related to Year 2000 compliancy as reflected in Scientech's technical proposal dated March 16,1999, which is hereby incorporated by reference and made a part hereof this modification.

Under Section B - Consideration and Obliaation-Cost Plus Fixed Fee.
Subparagraph (a) and (c) are hereby deleted in their entirety and substituted in lieu thereof the following:
"(a)
The total estimated cost to the Government for full performance of this contract is $1,549,785.30, of which the sum of $1,451,545.23 represents the estimated reimbursable costs and of which $98,240.07 represents the fixed fee.
(b) The amount currently obligated by the Government with respect to this contract is $1,495,604.00, of which the sum of $1,399,701.00 represents the estimated reimbursable costs and of which $95,902.99 represents the fixed fee."

Under Section G - Paragraph G.3 - Indirect Cost Rates. Subparagraph (a) is hereby revised to incorporate the provisional indirect cost rates for Fiscal Years 2000 through 2004 in accordance with the rates established by the U.S.
Department of Energy's letter dated March 24,1999, which is hereby incorporated by reference and made a part hereof this modification.
All other terms and conditions of this contract shall remain unchanged.
