DUBOSE FEBRUARY 1,1999, AND APRIL 27,1998, RESPONSES TO THE NRC LETTER OF FEBRUARY 10,1998, CONCERNING NRC INSPECTION REPORT FINDING 99900861/97-01-01
Dear Mr. Dailey:
We have reviewed your letters dated February 1,1999, and April 27,1998, providing additional response and documentation to the one remaining open Notice of Nonconformance (99900861/97-01-01) identified in NRC Inspection Report 99900861/97-01.
We noted in our October 1,1998, response to your September 5,1998, letter that you had submitted a code inquiry to ASME regarding the material certification issues described in example 1 of Nonconformance A (99900861/97-01-01). Based on the reply to the code inquiry to ASME, it appears that the material cddressed in example 1 meets the intent of ASME Section lil, NCA-3800, and your response is considered acceptable. Concerning your response to example 2 of Nonconformance A (99900361/97-01-01), we have reviewed the documentation provided in your February 1,1999, letter and find the information you provided responsive to the issues identified. Therefore, we consider all nonconformances from NRC Inspection Report 99900861/97-01 to be closed. Your corrective actions as described may be reviewed during a future inspection to determine that full compliance has been achieved and will be maintained.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.790 of the NRC's " Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be placed in NRC's Public Document Room.
