EVENT DESCRIPTION During the period of March 10, 1986 to approximately July 1, 1986, Control Building Room CB 36-06 will be renovated to accommodate a new alarm station and associated computer equipment.
This extension to the original completion date is due to design changes and delays encountered in the installation of support systems.
Renovation includes:
A.
Erection of new two hour fire-rated walls for Room CB 36-06 A, B, C.
B.
Installation of new HVAC system and modification of existing ductwork.
I C.
Modification of the three inch fire header.
D.
Modification of the sprinkler system.
E.
Installation of a Halon 1301 system.
Because of the length and extent of renovation, fire barrier material /
penetrations will exceed the Technical Specification limit.
ACTION TAKEN The Licensee has taken the compensatory action as required by the Technical Specifications.
