SUBJECT:

GGNS Hotline Ringback (our letter, December 3,1986)

Dear Gary:

We are pleased to announce that Deficiency No.1 (identified in the exercise report dated March 4,1986) for the December 3-4, 1985, GGNS Emergency Preparedness Exercise has fino!!y been corrected. A ringback feature on the emergency hotline was installed of the LNED terminal Februcay 19, 1987; a ringback feature was also installed at the State EOC terminal February 25, 1987. Both terminals have been tested satisfactorily and are fully operational. These terminals do not permit selective ringdown; that is, the entire circuit or network is automatically signalled. However, the primary interest in acquiring the ability to initiate communications from either of the two terminals to CGNS via the dedicated circuit has been achieved.

Sincerely, hYO S.C. Stuckey h
