'Ihe following report highlights the operating experience of Wolf Creek Generating Station for the month of March, 1987. This report is beirg provided pursuant to Technical Specification 6.9.1.8.

I.

SUMMARY

OF OPERATING EXPERIENCE The plant operated in mde 1, Power Operation, near 100 percent power throtshout the month, except for a reduction to 74 percent on March 7 and 8, due to reduced system demand.

II. MAJOR SAFE 7fY REIATED MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES

1. Replacement of the Control Room ventilation supply chlorine monitor, GK AITS-3.
2. Replacement of the regulator for the turbine driven Auxiliary Feedwater Punp regulating valve to Stean Generator "C", AL HV-12.
3. Replacement of the fan shaft on the Fuel Fool Cooling Pung roan cooler.

III. CHANGES, TESTS, AND EXPERIMENTS

'Ihe following is a brief description of safety evaluations performed pursuant to 10 CFR 50.59 on changes, tests, and experiments durirg the month of March.

1. Plant !bdification Request 00474 - Originated to provide drain.

pipinj to allow gravity drainage of waste oil fran existirg collector troughs on the Diesel Generator engines to existing oily waste drains. No unreviewed safety or environnental questions are generated as a result of this plant modification.

2. Plant Modification Request 00804, revision 5 - Originated to delete modifications that have been completed by PMR 01911 fran this PMR, which modifies the CRDM ductwork to facilitate quick removal and replacement. No unreviewed safety or environmental questions are generated as a result of this plant modification.
3. Plant Ibdification Request 00928, revision 1 - Originated to add a safety evaluation to this PMR, which changes the setpoint for the high hydrogen alarm for the outlet gas of the hydrogen recambiner. No unreviewed safety or environnental questions are generated as a result of this plant modification.
4. Plant Ndification Request KN84-075, revisions 2 thru 7 - 1 Originated to provide construction details for the PMR, which j provides a waste water treatment facility. No unreviewed safety 1 or environmental questions are generated as a result of this plant modification.

5. Plant M]dification Request 01622, revision 1 - Originated to revise the safety evaluation for this PMR, which replaces the Water Treatment system acid dilution water flow meter. No unreviewed safety or enviromental questions are generated as a result of this plant modification.
6. Plant Modification Request 01847 - Originated to change the high main steau conductivity alarm setpoint. No unreviewed safety or enviromental questions are generated as a result of this plant modification.
7. Plant Madification Request 01837 - Originated to change two torque specifications concerning the Reactor Coolant Pmps. No unreviewed safety or environmental questions are generated as a result of this plant modification.
8. Plant M3dification Request 02013 - Originated to change the size of a rivet used to repair a fire danper seal. No unreviewed safety or environmental questions are generated as a result of this plant modification.
9. Safety Evaluation 84-SE-015 - Originated to temporarily replace the cooler / fan shaft for Spent Fuel Pool Cooling Pmp Room cooler SGG04A with a non-Q shaft. No unreviewed safety or environmental questions are generated as a result of this tenporary modification.
