UNDER CONTRACT NRC-04-97-040 The purpose of this modificatia.lis to include the enclosed modified Statement of Work, to incorporate by reference the contractor's technical proposal dated April 20,1999 and to hereby make them a part of the subject task order.

In addition, the period of performance for Task Order No.1 shall be through December 31, 1999. The revised total estimated ceiling for this modified task order is $21,753.14, a reduction of $2.96 from the original estimate ceiling.

All other terms and conditions of the subject task order remain unchanged.

A summary of obligations for this task order, taken from funds obligated under the basic j contract, is given below: '

Item 2: Objective -

Change to:

The objective of this task is to perform limited assessment of the IFCI code against a t suite of FCI experiments. The results of the effort are to be documented in an assessment report.

Item 3: Work Requirements Change subtask 1 to read as follows:

The contractor shall assess the IFCI code against the eight experiments shown in the assessment matrix (Attachment 1). Also, perform assessment against two other FCI experirnents that will be identified by the NRC project manager. ,

The contractor shall prepare an assessment report documenting the results of subtask

1. The assessment report will contain the actual IFCI input decks with an explanation of ,

each decks nodalization (preferably referencing a diagram), and how the relevant '

. parameters were chosen. The report should also draw conclusions with respect to code adequacy and describe how close was the code to predicting actual experimental measurements.
