Attached for your information, in accordance with your request, is a draft copy of a report, " Reactor Coolant Pump Shaft Seals Under Station Blackout Conditions, Phase II - Research Continuation." This draft discusses analytical studies and tests accomplished by the Atomic Energy of Canada Limited (AECL),
Chalk River National Laboratory (CRNL) done as a part of an NRC research program. The draft also includes conclusions of personnel of AECL-CRNL and a discussion of tests done in France that such personnel witnessed.
