The Commission was briefed by Mr. Harry Teague on the extensive studies.of theoretical severe accidents at commercial nuclear power plants conducted by the "Seni'or Group of Experts.on Severe Accidents."
These studies were sponsored by the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development.
The Commission decided to reschedule the staff's briefing on the status of th'e source term efforts at a'-later date.
Prior to adjournment, the EDO informed the Commission thIat publication of NUREG-1150 will-be delayed; and that the staff was considering publication of a partial draft in September, 1986, and the remainder of the document in January, 1987.
