LICENSING ACTION REVIEW FOR SALEM UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 REGARDING ASME SECTION XI RELIEF REQUEST FOR HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE TESTS Your memorandum dated May 28, 1986 requested Region I assistance in conducting the subject review by June 30, 1986. Based on our preliminary assessment of this licensing action as discussed during a telephone conversation with the NRR project manager on June 16, 1986, we accept responsibility for completing a written safety evaluation and SALP input by July 31, 1986 vice the requested target date.
The assigned Region I reviewer is R. McBrearty (488-1347), Division of Reactor Safety.
