(PECo), dated November 6, 1987 Dear Sirst Enclosed for your review is the revised Pump and Valve Inservice Testing (IST) Program for Limerick Generating Station Unit i for the 10-year interval which commenced on February 1, 1986.

This revision also serves as the initial submittal of the IST Program for Limerick Unit 2 when it begins it first 10-year interval.

Program was made by Reference 1.

NRC questions and comments h.,pg concerning a subsequent proposed revision to the Program were provided 4

in Reference 2.

These questions aad comments were discussed on February 24 and 25, 1988 at a meeting with representatives from the gO NRC staff, Idaho National Engineering Laboratory and Philadelphia Electric Company.

The enclosed revised IST Program incorporates the Q'd guidance provided at this February meeting, wf 8e In accordance with 10 CPR 50.55a(g)(4), the first 10-year M

interval IST Program complies with Section XI of the ASME Boiler and U

Pressure Vessel Code, 1986 Edition.

This Program will be updated and

@gge maintained in accordance with Nuclear Group Administrative Procedures to reflect the as-built condition of the plant.

The enclosed document is not a controlled copy.

Controlled copies will be available for NRC review at both corporate headquarters and the station.
