On May 14, 1986, Mr. R. E. Fclker, Vogtle Project Quality Assorance Engineer, informed Mr.
E.
F.
Christnot of the USNRC Region II of a potentially reportable condition concerning the ring settings on the main steam safety valves supplied by Crosby Valve.
This condition was reported by the NRC in I&E Information Notice 86-05 dated January 31, 1986.
At this time, Georgia Power Company has not completed its evaluation of this condition.
Georgia Power Company expects to inform the NRC of the results of the evaluation of this condition on July 18, 1986.
