SUBJECT:

FRESH FUEL STORAGE LICENSE CONDITIONS FOR PERRY NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT 1 Enclosed is a copy of the Part 70 license issued to Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company (CEI) for the Perry Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 1, with the supporting Safety Evaluation Report (SER). Please note that this license contains conditions which you may wish to incorporate into your Part 50 operating license.

It should also be noted that Condition 21 limited the use of the New Fuel Vault for the dry storage of fresh fuel assemblies to alternate rows and columns in order to ensure the nuclear criticality safety of the storage array under optimum water mist density moderation and water reflection.
