2 LEANUP PROJECT DIRECTORATE WEEKLY STATUS xEr0RT R APRIL 6 - 12, 1987 1.
DEFUELING Pick and place fuel removal operations continued using a variety of tools. Some fuel removal was done vacuuming with the airlif t tool.
Five canisters were filled with debris. Three of the fillcd canisters were transferred to the spent fuel pool.

ENVIRONMENTAL NONITORING US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) sample analysis results show that TMI site liquid effluents are in accordance with regulatory limits, NRC requirements, and the City of Lancaster Agreement.
THI wcter effluents are sampled from the station (Units 1 and 2) discharge and analyzed by EPA.
Gama spectrum analyses of the seven daily cocipcsited samples for March 21 - 28, 1987 indicated no TMI-2 related radioactivity.
EPA's gan.ma spectrum analysis of the NRC's TMI outdoor air sample for April 2 - 9, 1987 showed no reactor related radioactivity.
The water works for the City of Lancaster composited seven daily saples from March P.2 - 28,1987.
EPA's 96tmia spectrum analysis of the composite sample showed no reactor related radioactivity.

DECONTAMINATION ACTIVITIES Sccbblin9 of the floor beneath the B and C bleed tanks continued.
Desludging of the auxiliary building su:ap continued.
Robot desludging of the reactor building baseraent continuas.
