This is to certify that a test was conducted to determine the effects of spraying water on j

the Anaconda flex conduit wrapped in SILTEMP WT-65. This test supplements the results

of the cable separation verification program conducted for Bechtel Energy Corporation for cables used at Houston Lighting & Power Company South Texas Project Elictric Generating Station (Wyle Report No. 53575).

TEST DESCRIPTION

{

A 10 feet section of Anaconda flex conduit was wrapped with single layer,50% overlap of SILTEMP WT-65 covered with a single layer 50% overlap of 3M No. 69 glass tape. The test specimen was placed in the vertical test stand as shown in Figure 1.

The specimen was sprayed with water for 30 minutes. The spray nozzles were adjusted to p

a spray the whole length of the specimen. The conduit and SILTEMP WT-65 were visually I

examined at the completion of the test. No visible damage or SILTEMP slippage was observed.
