MINUTES OF (,RGR MEETING NUMBER 149 The Committee to Review Generic Requirements (CRGR) met on Thursday, October 27, 1988 from 1-3 p.m.
A list of attendees for this nieeting is attached (Enclosure 1).
The following items were addressed at the meeting:
1.
The Committee continued and completed their review of a proposed generic letter on SPDS implementation that was begun at Meeting No. 148.
The Committee recommended in favor of issuance of the generic letter on this topic, subject to incorporation of several recommended modificatior.s and clarifications to be coordinated with the CRGR staff.
This matter is discussed in Enclosure 2, 2.
C. McCracken (NRR) presented for CRGR review proposed modifications to three SRP sections on fission product removal and retention, SRP 6.5.2, 6.5.4, and 6.5.5.
The Committee recommended in favor of issuance of all three proposed revisions as effective guidance for licensees, subject to a number of minor clarifications addressed in discussions at the meeting (to be coordinated with the CRGR staff).
This matter is discussed in Fnclosure 3.
In accordance with the E00's July 18, 1983 directive concerr,ing "Feedback and Closure on CRGR Reviews," a written response is required from the cognizant office to report agreement or disagreement with the CRGR recommendations in t
these minutes.
The response, which is required within five working days after i
receint of these minutes, is to be forwarded to the CRGR Chairman and if there is disagreement with CRGR recommendations, to the EDO for decisionmaking.
