PROPOSED RESPONSE TO INQUIRY On hovember 26 the Commission's Office of Inspector and Auditor completed a report on the performance of officials of the NRC's Region IV office in Arlington, Texas, with respect to the regulation of the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power P1' ant.
Comanche Peak has a construction permit from the NRC ane an application cs
\\for an operating license is pending.
The OIA report has<47 pages' s........,
and 42 attachments, some 3,000 pages total.
The internal investigation was begun in March of 1986, and involved NRC personnel, not the licensee.
