April 8, 1987 HEMORAN00M AND ORDER i
(Ruling on Attorney General Shannon's Motion
)
toCompelFEMAResponsestoInterrogatories)
I The Board has before it Massachusetts Attorney General James M.
Shannon's Motion to Compel FEMA Responses to Interrogatories dated i
March 30, 1987. This Massachusetts anotion is directed to FEMA's responses to Interrogatories 7-18.
FEMA in its response to these interrogatories dated March 18, 1987 objects to each on grounds that they are irrelevant and responses would place an undue burden on FEMA and its staff. FEMA also responds that in several instances the mere assembly of the requested information would be of a type not regularly i
i maintained by FEMA and that if responses were filed FEMA would need additional research of FEMA's and other agencies' records.

2 The Board agmes that FEMA should not be required to respond to Attorney General Shannon's Interrogatories 7-18. The Motion to Compel is denied.
