Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, requires the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to submit quarterly reports on the denial of safeguards information. In keeping with this requirement, I am pleased to inform you that for the quarter beginning on January 1 and extending through March 31,1999, the NRC had no instance of denying to the public any documents containing safeguards information.
