Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Hashington, DC 20555 Docket No. 50-312 Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station License No. DPR-54 PROPOSED AMENDHENT NO. 166, REVISION 1, SUPPLEMENT I Attention: George Knighton Based on further review, the District hereby supplements its September 30, 1988 submittal of Proposed Amendment No. 166, Revision 1 (PA 166, Rev. 1).

Attached is revised Technical Snecification 4.6.4.f (page 4-341). This Specification is modified to eeJre the equipment required to verify vital 120 volt AC bus operability is surveilled. The equipment specified in proposed Technical Specifications 3.7.2.H and 3.7.2.1 is directly related to Technical Specification surveillance requirement 4.6.4.f. The wording in Specification 4.6.4.f is modified and equipment is added to ensure the surveillance clearly states the appropriate requirements which verify vital 120 volt AC bus operability.

The Safety Analysis and No Significant Hazards Consideration for the District's September 30, 1988 submittal of PA 166, Rev. I remain valid for this supplement.

Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.91(b)(1), the Radiological Health Branch of the California State Department of Health Services has been informed of this proposed amendment supplement by mailed copy of this submittal.

Since this submittal is a supplement to PA 166, Rev. 1, no additional license fees are required.
