Steam Generator Tube Repairs Resulting from Byron Unit 1 Cycle 9 Refueling Outage Inservice insoactions In accordance with Technical Specification 5.6.9, " Steam Generator (SG) Tube inspection l Report," we are reporting the number of tubes plugged or repaired dunng the inservice inspection activities conducted during the Byron Station Unit 1 Cycle 9 Refueling Outage.
These inspections were completed on April 9,1999.
A 100% fulllength eddy current inspection was performed on SGs B, C, and D. No inspections were performed on SG A. This was the first inservice inspection of these SGs following SG replacement during the previous refueling outage.
Based upon the results of the inspections, SG B, C, and D were classified as inspection l
category C-1 in accordance with Technical Specification 5.5.9.c. No tubes were repaired or i plugged during the current Unit 1 Cycle 9 Refueling Outage. The tube plugging distribution for the SGs is summarized in the below table:
