Dear Mr. Erickson:
This letter proposes a schedule for sunmitting the information Application (reference (2))).
requested in reference (1 regarding the March 4, 1987 License Amendment The Application proposed a 40 year extension of the expiration date for the Peach Bottom Unit 1 possession only License.
The infomation requested involves (1) an engineering analysis of below ground structures with respect to providing corrosion protection, (2) installation of a water level monitoring system in the Unit 1 containment, and (3) revisions to the March 4,1987 License Amendment A 911 cation. The revisions requested by the NRC to the Application would incorporate reporting and record-keeping requirements, and liquiti and gaseous effluent release and water entry limits into the Unit 1 License.
We will submit the requested information, except for the results of the corrosion protection study, by December 16,1M8. An engineering work request to parform a corrosion protection study of the Unit 1 containment structure has been issued with work commencing in early 1989. x ;;rcche schedule for addressing this request will be identified in tne December 16, 1988 submittal.
I The schedule reflects the time needed to complete an engineering analysis and assess modifications to the decownissioned facility.
