Georgia Power Company hereby submits three copies of Amendment 7 to the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant - Units 1 and 2 Physical Security and Contingency Plan.
By copy of this letter, two copies are being provided to the NRC Region II Office.
Amendment 7 reflects the implementation of new rules regarding Miscellaneous Amendments Concerning Physical Protection of Nuclear Power Plants (10 CFR Parts 50 and 73) and searches of Individuals at Power Reactor Facilities (10 CFR Part 73).
The enclosed Implementation of New Rules indicates which sections of the security plan address each new rule and whether the rule was audressed in the existing plan or is being addressed in Amendment 7.
Since public disclosure of security infomation may jeopardize the safety of the facility, we request that the material submitted herewith be maintained as proprietary and withheld from public disclosure in accordance with the provisions of 10 CFR 73.21.
